Europe 1974-1980

On coming to England Sokolov discovered illustration was not a profession, experimented with sculpture and concentrated on oil-painting: portraits, which he undertook on a take it or leave it basis, landscape and groups which accentuated the unfamiliar, especially light and weather, and a fantastic view of a Europe where past and present mingle.
